Video game genres are used to categorize video games based on genres games interaction rather then the viual or narrative differences. Genres video games is defined by a set of gameplay challenges. They are classified independent of their video game settings they have been in game world contents , not like ohter workers in fiction such as films or other books. Examples like action video games are still action games on whether it takes place on a fantasy world in the video game. Within their game studies there is a lack of the consensus in their reach accepted for their formal definition for game genres
